about

NOTE: The download comes with the entire compilation and a PDF of the original 30 page zine and cassette artwork.

_

In 1997, my friend Jimmy Ohio was at the Art Institute of Chicago.

He took a class w/ David Grubbs, and for a report he made a zine on the 'Casio Revolution'... the zine included interviews w/ various people who recorded music w/ the SK series of early cheap sampling keyboards.

The zine also came w/ a 60 minute cassette compilation, as companion to the text. It contained lots of pre-Drekka projects by myself and various members of the Day2 Alliance, as well as many early BlueSanct projects such as Giraffe Boy, Camera Club, and Mr. Centipede.

Static Productions and BlueSanct decided to do an official release of the zine/(C-60) in an edition of 50 copies. I copied the zines and all the artwork, but in the end I only made a handful of finished copies.

18 years later, I've scanned the zine and uploaded the comp.

If you really wanted to, you could grab a 60 minute tape from Goodwill, print the PDF of the zine and make your own copy!

LONG LIVE THE CASIO REVOLUTION!
