This comp was originally released by Day2 in fall 1996, as was "Book of People" which accompanies it.
In either June 1997 or April 1999 (depending on which piece of paper I look at), I produced an edition of 100 copies of "Book of People", to be packaged it in a fancy manilla envelope with the (C-60) comp.
For whatever reason, I never completed the project and it has remained on the "unfinished" list of Bluesanct titles.
Fast forward to 2021... to celebrate our 25th anniversary as a label, I have been going through and finally completing many of these lost classics.
Listening back to this comp today, I was overwhelmed by how much of it held up.
I had forgotten that this comp includes the original version of "Mary Gold" by K10Joy, which both Tiltmaster and Drekka would cover many times over the years. A true classic song in the Day2 canon!
It also contains two Fork tracks I recorded months before scrapping the project and starting over as Drekka. I think I made the right choice.
