"The whole tape was put together in a week, or a little more. Colin was moving away and I asked everyone to do something and they did. Probably the quickest project I've done"

I have very little recollection of doing this compilation... and honestly could not remember who Colin was without asking Darryl. I remember him now, but this shows how tenuous my memory is of this period of time.
I do know that Knifeboat featured a young art school student name of Crank Sturgeon, whom I am still in contact with.
This was one of the first few releases on Bluesanct, from the first week of November 1995. It was released alongside the self-titled Fork album and "Fork plays The Stuffings".
"The Awaken" was a imaginary pseudo-cult in the vein of The Process Church. At the time, I was into the idea of rappers fostering feuds with other rappers by way of mixtapes and diss tracks... so, I *think* the idea was to start some kind of fake rivalry with Knifeboat and this imaginary cult.
Although, it seems like Knifeboat was breaking up, hence Colin moving, and the whole thing does not seem like a diss at all...so who knows?
Enjoy this very early Bluesanct release with some super early tracks by the likes of Fork, 144000, Salinger Lewis, Light of Heaven, and more.
