"poison happy vapour trail", the debut static films album (and the debut album period by Mark Trecka), is a perfect snapshot of the 1996-2000 Chicago period for Bluesanct.
It marks the beginning of a lifelong relationship between Bluesanct and static films, and friendship between myself and Trecka.
While the album may suffer slightly from a very 90's need to fill up the 60min tape, it has some classic and beautiful glimpses into what would quickly develop into a unique and powerful discography from Trecka that continues to evolve and emerge to this day.
I have transferred the album from the original master dubbing cassette, here at Bluesanct HQ in April 2020. I have done as little mastering as possible, to retain the original spirit of a young person exploring a 4-track for the first time.
